Job news, among other things

It's the middle of October already and the leaves are already changing! The earth is ready to beginning cooling down, and for us things are ever heating up! Revolution Annapolis launches in less than 10 days and we are both SO STOKED to see it kick off and the Spirit begin to move through this place, these people. God WILL be glorified and it will be incredible! The last two weekends we've kind of played the role of event coordinators for the church community in organizing both a football party at our place and an apple picking outing for family fun! Both afternoons were a total blast, and really lit Michelle's fire for event planning and working in God's house.

That being said... after much prayer and consideration, weighing of pros vs. cons, financial evaluation, and seeking council Michelle quit her job at DCA this week. In the five months she worked there it became blatantly clear to both Michelle and Jason that God did not create Michelle to work a 9-5 office lifestyle. She was not successful, not challenged, and not happy with her working life; so we sought God and he opened a few doors to coax us into taking a risk and having Michelle explore other options.

Since deciding to leave her job, Michelle is interviewing at miscellaneous coffee houses in the Annapolis area, in hopes of being closer to her church home and the community where their ministry is. She was also offered a position as volunteer staff at their church just last Thursday and has plans to meet with the pastor to find out more details about what that role would entail. These things, although less economically practical, are really where her heart thrives most and we couldn't be more excited to see what else is to come from them!

The other latest news in the Delisio's marriage is their shared love of exercising together. Whether it is a couch-to-5K running regiment or Pilates twice a week, the two at smitten with working up a sweat and strengthening their bodies side-by-side. It's been good for our team work, encouragement to one another, and psychological/physical well being. Michelle and Jason have also been very diligent with their spiritual exercising and stretching these last weeks as well, continually getting into the word together, praying daily, and having one evening a week dedicated to deeper study of the bible. This practice itself has been the best thing we could possibly have taken up together! It is giving God such an enormous amount of room to shape and love us both, as well as make us more in-tune with His voice and His desires for our time, finances, words, activities, LIVES in general!

We are also being blessed in the area of friendships by God, through the medium of Revolution. It seems like we are meeting more and more young married couples all the time, and God is constantly intertwining our lives and giving us hearts that love our brothers and sisters.

On a sad note, Jason will begin working nights again in just two weeks. This time around though, my schedule will be much more flexible and hopefully our weekends will align more closely than before. Either way, we are confident that God's got great things in store for us through this tremendous sacrifice, we need to just continue to pray for Jason's strength and courage as he takes on such a huge task for his family (who loves him so much and is so proud of him)!
