Jason's job is going wonderful, he is ready to take on some new responsibilities and commitments, which is quite a high compliment for being such a (fairly) new employee. His fabulous work ethic, attention to detail, and quality of work is seeming to pay off and God is blessing his efforts to work in all things as unto the Lord.
Michelle's working situation isn't quite as glamorous, but it is a steady, paying job for which we are more than grateful. She has still yet to be given a title or direction at her employer, but has been taken under the wing of a veteran there and is learning quite a bit about lots of different angles of the company. The last few weeks she has also been training off-site with an employee the company contracts out to a large account in Silver Spring, MD and is to be his official back up. Instead of shunning the lack-of-direction, the flexibility and consistent change in her work life is proving to be exhilarating and helps her to keep focused. * The goal of paying off all our debts by Dec. 31, 2010 is a great motivator as well!
The Delisio's had a visitor last week, all the way from Chicago! Michelle's surrogate little sister, Danielle, flew out to visit for a few days! We had, probably, the most non-stop series of events that we've had since the wedding entertaining and loving on our friend! It was a blast! From bible studies, local Revolutions, watching Jane Austen's books on film, Washington DC, Annapolis, serving at a Revolution car wash, tanning poolside, and baking up a storm we kept busy and occupied!
Our commitment and love for Revolution has deepened over the last few months as well. We now are meeting on Sundays at Austin's Grill in Annapolis to begin getting used to gathering on Sunday mornings, setting up, worshipping together, and sharing a devotional. We've begun to form deeper friendships with the other members of the launch team, and God is developing our servant's hearts at neck-breaking speed as we begin to serve and look for more ways to serve the Annapolis community. Michelle has been baking the church's weekly communion even! God must be chuckling at His own wit in answering her questions on how to serve through baking :) Jason will be drumming the church's band as well, and practices are to start soon.
Another exciting development in Jason's life is our beginning to seek our physicians to treating his back pain. After nearly ten years of chronic pain in his back and suffering from fully being able to partake in the things he loves most; we've decided to invest our time, efforts, and finances in getting Jason's back straightened out and feeling 100%! Come along side us in praying for Jason's complete and total healing.
Well for now, that is the latest of the Delisios and this adventure they are embarking on together.
