Jason began his last rotation of offices last week, which we are so excited about because this office encompasses everything Jason ever hoped his work would be. It has a great variety of challenges and growth opportunities, and he will learn skills here that will aide him for the rest of his career! However, this office functions at the same time as the rest of the world- while we are sleeping! So Jason's new working hours are Sat-Tues, 10pm-8am. The first week was rough to get used to the time switch, thankfully we only have 1 more to go, then Jason begins a 5 week long training course which takes place during the day! So we've go another month together in the daylight!
One of the most positive aspects of the latest hurdle is that both Michelle and Jason are much more dedicated to hitting the gym (together and separately) to burn off some excess energy and simply to fill up some time! We're pray that this diligence in taking care of our bodies, the Lord's temple, continues. For not just physical health, but emotional and spiritual wholeness as well.
Also, Michelle has been finding time to spend with some female companions again, which is a huge relief to both herself and Jason- girl time is medicine to her soul, and makes her a more attentive, affectionate wife.
A third huge blessing of this new lifestyle is that both Michelle and Jason are beginning to appreciate the time they do have together so much more, as it is less frequent and/or convenient than it was the first 5.5 months of our marriage!
Hey, who knows, maybe another positive outcome of Jason's working nights will be more frequent blog posts ^^ (that's for you Melody)
Jason's back is doing great! His pain scale is the lowest it has ever been, so much so that he's able to wake up most mornings pain-free! A luxury he hasn't known in years. Emotionally he is doing fantastic as well, God has really answered prayer and taken our cup in this area. We are learning each other more thoroughly every single day and discovering new ways to interact, to love one another, and to serve God together almost every day!
Revolution had its very first preview service at Lowe's Hotel in downtown Annapolis this morning! It was incredible. Seeing all the different parts of the body that is Revolution come together in His name was just... so incredibly encouraging! We can't wait to see how God uses this church, uses us in it, and works in the community of Annapolis! The amount of volunteers and committed launch team members is absolutely moving, how can anyone ever doubt the presence of God when so many unconnected people are brought together for one purpose greater than this world?
* Please continue to keep Revolution, its leaders, and its mission in your prayers in the weeks (5 more until launch) and the years to come (most new plants fizzle out by year 3).
